Merry Xmas: New Concept Art

Merry Xmas everyone! Things will be quiet for the holidays because everyone on the project is spending this vacation with family. (which makes it difficult to create pornographic content)

Development Update

Been busy at work with the text narration for each type of sexual victory/defeat in HHX, I dont want to share any of the details before we release any playable content. We believe we can bring you an early demo by the end of January 2015. This demo should include several regions/locations and as many monstergirl encounters as I can cram into the game before then. Working combat and a functional user interface.

At the moment I can tell you that there will be multiple ways to defeat a monster, and that each type of victory or defeat leads to a different type of sex scene. We may have to use placeholders temporarily until each artwork can be finished so bear that in mind.

Character UI & Progress Update

As you can see I'm currently working on the basic layout of each UI menu. Above you can see the "Equipment and Inventory" current design. I've decided to use a drag and drop system with items. Its my belief that this system with be more asthetically pleasing and easy to use. For example; equipping a weapon is as easy as grabbing the Knight's Longsword Icon and dragging into into the Weapon box. When using a consumable item such as a potion, you simply drag the potion icon onto the center of the hero's picture and then a prompt will ask "Are you sure you want to use (#item name) on (#character name)?"
 I've already figured out the starting skills in the game (4 per a stat category). Every level up youll receive 4 skill points per a category (16 total) Double clicking on a skill will bring up a detailed description page at the center of the screen.


A slightly updated version of the UI, as you can see the Equipment and Skill menu's are at the top left of the screen, you can open and collapse these menus by clicking the appropriate icon.

My programmer and I have been steadily working on the core mechanics of the game and we have a very basic version already running! I'm gonna wait until I have more content and features however before I make it available to Donating Patreons.

Programmer hired!

Alright! Now we have a dedicated programmer on the project! I'm already trying to get him up to speed so we can start working on a demo for the game ASAP. Things are moving forward a little faster than I orginally anticipated,  thats only a good thing.

I'll be devoting most of my spare time learning CS5 and Photoshop editing so we can start off with some early game animations (probably idle stances, blinking, etc. I still plan to eventually hire a dedicated animator but it wont hurt to learn how to do it myself in the meantime.

I may as well take some time to write about developing features in the game so today I'm gonna focus on the combat menu.

The commands that will be available are:

Attack Your basic beat the monster/monstergirl into submission.
Magic Use spellcraft to charm a monster into sex or blast its HP away with offensive spells
Dominate Lower a monster/monstergirls HP down and then use your willpower to intimdate it into submission.
Seduce Avoid combat completly and charm your way into bed by raising the monsters Arousel % bar
Item Use items on yourself or give them to a creature that likes you.
Escape Either you bumped into the wrong creature or you dont like the way combat is going. Time to run away.

I'm creating several different methods for you as the player to enjoy the combat UI and eventually Hentai Hero X will feature special hybrid skills and equipment for focused gameplay. I wanted to note that this is a hentai game first and an RPG second.

Always good to see steady progress! I've been working away on the CORE mechanics of Hentai Hero X and its coming along nicely. I'll definitly be posting information about it in an upcoming blog.

Today we've received a first look into character development on the art side of things. The image above is an early stetch of the primary male protagonist, and below the concept behind the goblin girl. Adjustments are going to be made but its looking really good already!

First Look (User Interface)


Hello everyone and welcome back! Today I spent some time messing around with the UI concept and I'm pretty content with the current layout. The UI (User Interface) will be re-designed and improved as the game continues in development. I left open some blank icon spaces in case I forgot some important features.

Ive also spend some time (inbetween eating turkey today, yum!) reflecting on the first monster encounters that will feature in the game. Heres what ive decided to focus on first.

  • Goblin         (Male/Female)
    Description: 3-4ft tall. Stocky & curvy w/ broad nose. Green skin, large pointed ears.
Goblins are lewd and nasty while expressing sexual desire. They are sexual deviants at heart.

  • Elf            (Male/Female)
    Description: 5ft tall, Selder & pale w/ long pointed ears. Dark or Light skin depending on region found. Wear body jewely/piercings and have magical tattoos.
          
  • Slime girl
    Description: Liquid slime that typically takes the shape of a girl but can mold into other forms; futa/multiple girls. Comes in colors, Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, Orange.

  • Hellhound
    Description: A large black wolf with three tentacle dicks instead of a tail. Highly agressive & prefers to rape its prey.

  • Ogre            (Male/Female)
    Description: 12ft tall. Large muscles with huge tits/ass/dick. Incredibly gullible, stupid & horny.

  • Alraune
    Description: A plant girl who lives inside a large flower pod. Uses vine tentacles to molest and voilet her prey. Feeds off the cum of unsespecting passerbys.

  • Bat girl
    Description: Wears glasses because eyesight is so poor. Nocturnal or found underground. Primary diet is fruit and cum.
           
  • Naga
    Description: Four arms and has the legs of a snake. High level magical creature that prefers to pick who it breeds with.

Game Mechanics

Hello everybody and welcome to the first blog post for Hentai Hero X! I'd like to thank you for dropping by and checking out this project even when its so early in development. At the moment I'm preparing to commission two peices of art, but I want to be sure I get the right artist so this process might take the full week. I'm already looking into lead programmers in advance. Ill be sure to keep you all posted on my progress on that.

OK! On to the sweet bits, been coming up with a general goal list of what the games earliest alpha build will feature so lets delve right into my mind.

Stat System:
I want to make sure that each and every stat is useful in the game (not just for combat) and that your stats will boost your skill training. So im taking the time to really think about how many stat types I need. At the moment I have.....

Strength: This stat's primary point is in combat, however it also effects physical based skills such as Craftsmanship & Mending. It will also increase the speed in which you can build/upgrade your campsite.

Endurance: This stat effects your Maximum health and Arousal limit. Itll also effect sex events as it increases your verility/fertility and stamina. (Yes pregnancy is a planned feature for later on)

Charm: Effects NPC reactions and willingness to have sex. Heros who focus on charm will be able to seduce or dominate monsters into sex and claim the rewards without having to even fight. Although some monsters will be resistant/immune to this.

Willpower: This stat determine your magical potential. Magic will be obtainable through a special event in the game, but this feature will not be implimented right away. Willpower also prevents enemy monsters from seducing/dominating you. Its important to find a balance between combat and willpower otherwise youll be succeptable to an easy loss!

Those are the four primary stats that WILL feature in the game. Ive got alot of ideas on the drawing board but for now these are the ones im comfortable with announcing.

Featured Locations:
I wanted to start off simple and with the most solid foundation possible so I decided four primary regions will be explorable upon launch.

1. Forest
2. Desert
3. Jungle
4. Mountains

Think of each Region as a large area where as Locations will be more specific. The current locations ive decided to feature at launch are.

1. Cave/Cavern
2. Village
3. Lake/Oasis
4. Ruins/Dungeon

When you first leave your camp (home). You'll only be able to explore around the camp randomly encountering an event or unlocking a region. You may then explore these new regions repeatedly to discover randomized hidden Locations or events. Exploring a region will take two hours out of your day, where as exploring Locations only take 1 hour. Resting at camp takes 4 hours, it heals your HP but raises your arousal. High arousal means your more succeptable to seduction and take penalties on skill rolls.
