Dont Rush: My new motto

Because I fund this project completely out of my own pocket, theres no reason for me to set deadlines on the game. I wont give up on this project, and Ill continue to shell out cash for new art. Im gonna take my time and have fun with this. I dont know why I was so convinced  before I needed to push myself when this project isnt professionally funded.

As far as gameplay material, I'm making no promises, itll be ready when its ready!

  1. I saw your game on LoK if I remember correctly.
    The thing is, you should advertise it and make threads about it on more sites.
    Post it on ULMF, Hongfire and 4chan's /vg/ h-game general. Get people interested. Also remember to do regular updates even if you do nothing with the game. Always remind people that you're alive, even if it's a single sentence.   2. I appreciate your comment Anon! At the moment HHX is under development but we are not rushing the demo release anymore. Between my artist, programmer and my time working on script writing/game development it takes several weeks to get even a small amount of progress. Ill be sure to post updates on new info to the game as often as I have something to share, but all of us have jobs and school that take priority first. I'm glad you took the time to share some great websites to advertise HHX, but until Im happy enough with Version 1.0 of the demo I'm not gonna worry about advertising. I have enough money to fund development on my own for a while and I think thats the best way to get it done without any broken hearts.

  4. Good to hear you're confident about the game. I know my comment wasn't in your game thread, but I meant it as a general guide to any h-game maker, I just collected my thoughts on hgames, though I mainly focused on RPG maker games I guess.
    Your game seems to be similar to CoC and games like that, so some of my advice remains, but I'll add some. Lots of random events obviously, detailed text in the scenes, lots of events outside of fights, girls that you can meet more than once or have a short/long event chain, no gameovers on loss, and I guess generally things that CoC does well. As for updates go I meant that even if you have absolutely no info, do update every month. 2 months of no updates will make you lose tons of people who'd be otherwise interested as far as my experience goes. Just a "Hey I'm alive!" is enough. Hope the developement goes well, good luck guys.

  5. An update a month is totally doable, and all your recommendations are features I have planned for the game. One step at a time naturally ^_^ whats in store for HHX is a very basic version. once the primary systems are in place then I can elaborate and create the more fun features.

    Im just glad to see someone commenting and giving theyre input =D
